So, so, so, so sorry I have not posted in over two years. It may take another two years for anyone to discover that I've posted again. . . Still not sure if I have the motivation to keep this up consistently, especially since school starts in three weeks, but here goes nuttin'!
TOP 10 REASONS WHY I HAVEN'T BLOGGED IN TWO YEARS:
1. I teach kindergarten. 'Nuff said.
2. I teach kindergarten.
3. I spend my evenings planning lessons so I can teach kindergarten.
4. I spend my evenings moaning about the parents of the children I teach kindergarten to.
5. I'd rather be eating.
6. I hate blogger.com.
7. I teach kindergarten.
8. I can't think of anything new to write about - this happens when all you eat, breathe, and dream is kindergarten!
9. I can't post pictures of my kindergarteners.
10. I have no life (see the above 9 reasons for why).
On a happier note, I am excited for school to start (to a degree!). It is THE BEST to watch those little guys trying to walk in a straight line the first few days. They spread their legs way apart, and hustle down the hallways like cowboys with vertigo! Can't wait to meet my new class. .
By the way, while I was busy updating my blog tonight, Edward let me know that I was not to scream or kick or throw a fit. He was serious. He knows me well.

Good to hear from you again. Maybe you could give pointers on your blog for parents that are new to elementary school. I was lost last year and could have used some suggestions from the teacher about transitioning the child, what to do at home, what to do over the summer, developmental stages they'll be going through during the year, etc. Share some of the knowledge that consumes your life!
You have so much to offer. Let go and let it happen. You could use Aine's prompts to write on Sundays. Wish I could have heard your talk today. Hugs

Hey Marian, this is Elizabeth Nielsen (ARCH) if you don't remember. I am glad to see you have posted. I bet being a kindergarten teacher is hard, and time consuming. Being a mother of a kindergarten-er I know how much time they need. I hope you are well, and I am glad to see you have posted. I hope to stay in touch with you.
Mar! You've got to be such a great Kindergarten teacher. Your students are so lucky! If I was teaching any grade, it would be K, cause it seems like the kids, (at least at the beginning of the year) are still overall nice kids. By the end of K we'd already experienced mean girls-I've never wanted to smack a kid as much as I did Kristen's year of K. Anyhow, it was great to see your post-I'll bet I would find lots of things about your life that are fun and interesting. So, you probably aren't planning a trip to Utah in the next couple of weeks, are you? Well, great to hear from you!
LOL. That's how I feel sometime when talking to people.
Their telling me some deep or exciting stuff and all that comes to my head is "Little Wiggle said this yesterday" or "Don't you understand? I can't converse! I have toddlers!" Did I mention that little mE said her first sentence? "Up you" it means pick me up but doesn't it sound wonderful! :O anyway... We love you for teaching K . Have fun this new year. :)
I noticed! Way to go on posting.
